Beautiful PC remaster with excellent graphics and performance options, though technical issues with alt-tabbing and Steam Deck stability detract slightly. Game runs well with proper settings.

Our analysis

Nixxes' PC version of Insomniac's Spider-Man improves on PS5 with sharper resolution, stronger ray tracing and denser distant detail. Jake loves the thrilling swinging, combat, boss fights and story despite some busywork, and recommends it to Spider-Man fans.

the gameplay itself feels largely unchanged but that still leaves you with a spectacular Spider-Man Adventure that's also one of the best superhero games ever made and a visual treat to kick off the PS5 era

And Insomniac, given the power to develop a Spider-Man game, lived up to their responsibility by delivering a game that stood out as among the best on the PS4 and now stands out as among the best on the PS5.
