Our analysis

A Natsume Atari action JRPG, with notable contributors in Yoko Shimamura and a Final Fantasy writer, whose surprisingly engaging split-protagonist story about banned magic and the addictive rubrum drug is the standout. The fast, parry-based combat flows well once it clicks, though it lacks depth and customization variety, and Shibuya feels rather lifeless to explore. On Switch the visuals and performance let it down badly, dipping below 30fps with bugs, making the asking price hard to justify in its launch state, but it remains enjoyable overall.
