Bold return to Japanese horror roots offering psychological depth and cultural uniqueness.
Our analysis
Slow start but eventually clicks with unique departure from Silent Hill norms.
Our analysis
Good atmosphere and art but weird flaws and frustrating moments. Best for diehard fans.
Our analysis
Instant classic and Konamis most significant redemption. Unbelievably good horror with phenomenal storytelling.
Our analysis
A phenomenal psychological horror and one of the best entries in the series, trading the small-town America setting for slow-burning Japanese horror with brilliant writing, spectacular visuals, and Akira Yamaoka's outstanding score. Engaging, more action-oriented combat with dodging and parrying, tense resource and weapon-durability management, and five meaningfully different endings make multiple playthroughs essential. A couple of convoluted puzzles drag and combat occasionally lacks feedback, but these are minor blemishes on a remarkable evolution.
Our analysis
A story-driven horror game with excellent narrative, atmosphere, and puzzles, but hindered by weak combat mechanics, linear design, and performance issues. Highly recommended for narrative-focused players.
Even if not everything works really well, Silent F is already one of the most remarkable games this year, and I'm excited to see what comes next.About

Our analysis
Jake praises Silent Hill f for nailing the storytelling and maintaining the franchise identity despite its Japanese setting, though criticizes repetitive combat and monster designs. He recommends it to Silent Hill fans.
- GGmanLives👎 negativeWatch
Our analysis
Gggmanlives criticizes Silent Hill F for abandoning core Silent Hill design elements in favor of an action-focused combat system with forced encounters. While the visuals and story are engaging, the game lacks the survival horror identity and dread that made earlier entries compelling.

Yahtzee found Silent Hill f to be atmospherically engaging and genuinely scary with classic Silent Hill vibes, but was disappointed by its story, out-of-place boss fights, poor puzzle design, and the requirement of multiple playthroughs to get meaningful closure.

- Aarhn.eu😐 mixedWatch
Our analysis
A fresh and unconventional entry in the Silent Hill series with compelling story and atmosphere, but experimental solutions and combat repetition divide opinions. Worth experiencing for its bold new direction despite not matching Silent Hill 2's legacy.
- DDost Kayaoğlu👍 positiveWatch
Our analysis
A brilliant horror game with an exceptional story and terrifying atmosphere that revitalizes the franchise, though poor combat mechanics and questionable pricing at $70 USD limit its overall value.
- RRagnarRox😐 mixedWatch
Our analysis
An excellent survival horror game that stands with the original Silent Hill classics, featuring compelling integration of Japanese mythology and Shinto themes with mechanical design, though combat becomes repetitive in the final stretch.
