  Our analysis

Super Mario Land is a short, somewhat aged but solid first handheld Mario adventure. Its superb soundtrack and surreal setting stand out, though awkward controls and some frustrating platforming hold it back.

  Our analysis

A quirky Mario outlier with creative design variety but held back by imprecise controls and level design that doesn't fully utilize the superball mechanic. Well worth a look for fans, though the game shows its age after 27 years.
