Warframe: Plains of Eidolon

Our analysis

An ambitious, innovative, and ultimately worthwhile expansion: the open-world Plains are gorgeous and meaningfully reinvent Warframe's combat rhythm, and the Eidolon boss fights are excellent. It falters in execution, however, hampered by a punishing Focus 2.0 grind, weak operator combat, tedious gathering and stingy bounty rewards isolated from the core economy, a rough buggy launch, and a poorly handled new-player onboarding.
