Our analysis

Wrath's atmospheric music and impressive hub worlds have appeal for hardcore shooter fans. On Switch, imprecise shooting, awkward gyro controls and frame-rate drops keep its long, punishing levels from coming together.

Our analysis

A standout 90s-style throwback shooter built on the Quake engine, delivering fast circle-strafing combat across two excellently crafted early-access levels packed with secrets and traps. The gunplay feels awesome, the arsenal (nail gun, double-barrel shotgun, toxic flak cannon) and sound design are great, and fans of Quake or Doom will love it. Downsides are buggy enemy pathing through doorways and it being a bit too easy, both expected to improve before full release.
