Our analysis
Alone in the Dark shows flashes of brilliance, especially its fire physics, but poor execution, awkward combat, broken driving physics, and tedious Central Park objectives overwhelm its potential.

Holistically, Alone in the Dark 2008 is an extremely uneven game with an incredible amount of fascinating design ideas that I think it deserves credit for at least attempting.
