Our analysis
Battlefield 1 earns enthusiastic praise for its surprisingly good campaign, massive Operations battles, impressive graphics and impeccable sound design. The creator does not regret the purchase, though PC play demands a beefy CPU.
Our analysis
Battlefield 1 wastes its World War I setting with conventional shooter action and a campaign whose tone swings between solemn history and cartoon heroics. Its impersonal multiplayer also leaves the reviewer unconvinced.
Our analysis
Battlefield 1 is a polished World War I shooter with superb destruction, sound design and visuals plus the standout Operations mode, but its fantastic campaign lasts under five hours and it lacks content, with shallow class depth and few rewarding unlocks.
Our analysis
The World War I setting makes it feel fresh: the War Stories anthology campaign is surprisingly solid, destructibility and visuals impress, and Operations plus aerial combat shine in multiplayer. It is buggy in typical Battlefield fashion, but nothing game-breaking.

A love letter to Battlefield 1's enduring appeal — even in 2023, the game remains magnificent with fantastic sniping mechanics, vehicle warfare, and map variety that keeps the community engaged and having a great time.
