A good but lesser follow-up to the excellent Resident Evil 2 remake, with gorgeous visuals, strong animation, and fun over-the-top action that makes revisiting Raccoon City enjoyable. It's held back by being very short (six to seven hours), having few puzzles, reusing locations, and offering little meaningful replay value. The bundled Resistance multiplayer doesn't compensate, making it hard to justify at full price.
Our analysis
Skill Up cannot recommend Resident Evil 3's remake despite its beautiful visuals and strong PC performance. Cut content, lost live-selection choices, unsatisfying action and scripted Nemesis encounters make it a disappointing follow-up to RE2.
Our analysis
The Resident Evil 3 remake looks gorgeous and has some tense, atmospheric moments, but it is clunky, with bland areas and unresponsive combat. At about six hours for a full price, it feels half-assed and disappointing next to Resident Evil 2, and Mack says it is not worth a buy.
Our analysis
Resident Evil 3’s remake feels like a thin, lazy follow-up to RE2, with scripted Nemesis encounters and a more linear campaign. Its short campaign, sometimes unfair difficulty, and lack of extra single-player modes leave it feeling underdeveloped.
Our analysis
Angry Joe calls the Resident Evil 3 remake a disappointing follow-up that feels like DLC for the Resident Evil 2 remake: gorgeous visuals and lighting, but cut content, poorly designed levels, weak boss fights, a scripted Nemesis and a weak Resistance mode. Wait for a sale.
Our analysis
A superb reimagining that complements the RE2 remake by prioritizing frantic action and momentum without sacrificing its horror roots. The evolving chemistry between Jill and Carlos anchors a compelling story, and the relentless Nemesis remains one of the series' most memorable creations. The chief drawback is its short five-to-six-hour length, though unlockable rewards and difficulties make repeat runs worthwhile.

Completionist-friendly remake with great set pieces, but feels rushed and shorter than expected. The creator enjoys it but wishes there was more substantial content.
- TTheGamingBritShow👎 negativeWatch
Our analysis
The Resident Evil 3 Remake fails to match the quality of RE2 Remake and wastes the opportunity to modernize the original game, particularly through a poorly implemented Nemesis and fragmented Raccoon City design that lacks the interconnectedness it should have achieved.

Our analysis
The creator found Resident Evil 3 Remake to be a competent game with decent gameplay and cinematic presentation, but felt it lacked the horror atmosphere they expected and criticized the removal of content from the original rather than additions. Overall, a middle-of-the-road experience that doesn't particularly stand out.

Our analysis
An excellently crafted remake that works well as a direct sequel to RE2 Remake with tight gameplay and strong atmosphere, but underwhelming for original RE3 fans due to cut content and loss of player agency.
