A colorful exploration-focused action-adventure that successfully brings wonder and discovery despite generic character designs and weak voice acting. The most enjoyable Ubisoft release of the year with great traversal mechanics.
Our analysis
Overcomplicated puzzle-heavy game marketed as action. Tedious rather than rewarding.
Our analysis
Immortals Fenyx Rising Is The Best Thing Ubisoft Has Put Out In 2020 offers a solid experience worth playing for most players.
Our analysis
Really great game that YongYea highly recommends. Some Ubisoft-formula elements remain but significant experimentation beyond it. Some technical issues dont wane enthusiasm.
Our analysis
Did not live up to expectations, found it boring and repetitive with puzzle overkill. Not recommended despite acknowledging others may enjoy it.
Our analysis
Fun combat and excellent storytelling but undeniably a Breath of the Wild imitation; passable lightning thief to Zelda's lightning in a bottle.
Our analysis
Immortals Fenyx Rising combines enjoyable combat, challenging puzzles and a richly detailed world with funny Greek mythology narration. A patch greatly improves Switch performance, making it a good purchase, though the reviewer cannot confirm that all crashes are fixed.
Our analysis
A derivative Breath of the Wild knockoff dressed in Greek mythology, stuffed with Ubisoft's usual icon-cluttered map and tedious point-the-cursor discovery instead of real exploration. Combat is generic and easy once mastered, weapons and armor are functionally identical, and the constant sassy quipping between characters lands flat and saps any sense of stakes. Ultimately dispassionate and devoid of original ideas, leaving little reason to engage with much of it.
Our analysis
Surprisingly fun open-world with BotW inspiration; focused 25-30 hour experience less bloated than Ubisoft norm.
Our analysis
Far from perfect but good. Puzzles and combat come together despite borrowing from Zelda. Strong gameplay loop carries it through despite corny storytelling.

Solid open-world game with phenomenal puzzles and combat. Limited enemy variety and technical issues, but charming mythological world and exploration make it worthwhile.
