Visually stunning open-world with improved combat and epic ship battles. Performance issues in cutscenes.
Our analysis
A sprawling, beautiful open-world that turns ancient Greece into a playground for endless exploration, with strong historical detail that genuinely sparks curiosity. The enormous map and abundant distractions can stall the lengthy main story and the combat grows mind-numbing and repetitive, but the gorgeous, hilariously hostile world makes it an easy recommendation for anyone who loves wandering and discovery.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has excellent narrative design and combat improvements but suffers from excessive bloat, repetitive mission structure, and...
Our analysis
A pretty good, content-rich open-world RPG that pleasantly surprises and earns a recommendation for both RPG and Assassin's Creed fans. Standout strengths include the genuinely living, persistent Conquest battles, the mercenary bounty system, choice-based consequences, and a huge map with hundreds of hours of content. Weaknesses are the level-bracket balancing that can feel constricting, exploitative XP-booster microtransactions, and some frustrating glitches.
Our analysis
Thumbed up despite despicable helix points for XP. Great game underneath the exploitative monetization once you get past it. Worth playing.
Our analysis
Fextralife: hundreds of hours for Assassin's Creed formula fans; improves on Origins RPG elements.
Our analysis
ZP: bloated 40 hours; first AC Yahtzee couldn't finish.
Our analysis
One of the best entries in the franchise with fresh mechanics, engrossing naval exploration, and meaningful choices that tie the experience together.
